Pacific Poker - Review |
|
|
Pacific Poker The sister site to the world’s largest online casino, Casino-on-net, the most trusted name in online gaming since 1996, Pacific Poker is a large room with a wide selection of poker games to play. Software: Pacific Poker is not the best software on the market, but it is continually improving. Currently there is only the option to play a single table at a time, and pot limit and no limit games have only recently been added. There is a lack of some of the more regular features you find online, such as buddy lists or a email hand history, but they do offer a very nice instant hand history that is easy to follow and shows real-time hand by hand replay function which is one of the best on the internet. There are also keyboard short cuts that make fiddling with the mouse a thing of the past. The chat facility is poor, as this is permanently hidden and requires constantly clicking to bring into view. Overall some unique features, but any regular ones are missing. 5/10 Support: Email and telephone freephone support globally provide an efficient and prompt response to queries, as you would expect from such a well established online gaming company. Their poker knowledge however is sometimes lacking and not as well versed as their casino support. 4/10 Banking: Pacific Poker accept all the major payment methods, and have a reputation for prompt no quibble payouts even in their casino site which is rare online. 8/10 Bonuses: Pacific Poker have a standard $100 max welcome bonus, clearing this is fairly slow, and done on raked hands wagering basis along casino lines rather than a simple raked hands criteria. The bonus is therefore one of the slowest to earn if you play low limits. For bigger limits the bonus should not be too cumbersome. Uniquely the bonus is also added immediately, but is not withdrawable until the wagering requirement is met. Pacific do not offer many other bonuses, although there is a player points loyalty scheme. 5/10 Game Availability: Pacific Poker have a fairly large player base built on the back of their large online casino, and a huge offline marketing campaign, which results in a large volume of poker players at any time of day. Pacific poker offer Taxas hold ‘Em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 card Stud Hi-Lo. Having recently added Pot Limit and No Limt games too, there is a poker game for everyone. 7/10 Game Toughness: Pacific Poker has a reputation for some of the worst poker players on the internet, although with the recent addition of the big bet games, these seem noticeablt tougher, perhaps as the better players now play in the hope of the same poor poker play as seen at the limit tables. The score here is therefore not as high as it would have been in 2004 7/10 Total 36/60 |
