Paradise Poker were there at the launch of internet poker in 1999, and are still one of the online poker market leaders, with currently the 3rd largest traffic numbers, and one of the most trusted names in the industry. Currently fronted by Caprice, you will find her in a learn to play video on the site itself
Software: Paradise have a very clean easy to use product, with possibly the best layout of table information available today in the lobby for cash games and tournaments. There are no frills, just good no nonsense tables set out simply and conservatively. If anything perhaps it is time the tables got a freshen up as the look is becoming dated. 7/10
Support: Currently email only via is available but the response time is absolutely excellent, if you wait longer than 15 minutes for a reply then it is a bad day. The responses too are usually very accurate, and one of the best in online poker, so despite the lack of telephone or live chat, this scores very highly indeed. 9/10
Banking: Paradise accept visa, mastercard, Neteller and Firepay, and for the UK players there is the solo, switch and maestro options to choose from too. Withdrawals are also handled very efficiently with no fuss. 8/10
Bonuses: Paradise currently offer a maximum $50 welcome bonus that is cleared at ten raked hands per $1 of bonus. Unusually this gets credited to your account in $10 increments, so you can top up your account as you work through the bonus. Reloads are rare on Paradise poker, but they do happen, usually around big holidays such as Christmas or Thanksgiving in the States. 5/10
Game Availability: Paradise have a good selection of games, especially in limit, but with a largely American clientele No Limit lovers will have less to choose from. Slow to develop tournament software, which is why they lost the market lead in online poker, Paradise now have a very good tournament selection too, with the weekly highlight being their $100,000 guaranteed on a Saturday. 7/10
Game Toughness: Paradise poker used to have a reputation as the toughest place on the net, but over the last year this has certainly softened considerably especially in No Limit games. There are still games showing flop percentages in the mid to low twenties, but there are plenty in the forties too, just choose your game wisely and there is good money to be made on here. 7/10
Total 43/60
