PokerRoom.com - Review (Print this article)

Pokerroom Is one of the oldest poker rooms on the internet, established in 1999. PokerRoom.com offers a non-download multiplayer poker games version, as well as being compatible for Mac users, that you can play both for play and real money.

Software: Pokerroom has some unique features, such as the ability to colour code an opponent rather than writing lengthy notes that you may never read, and a chat room in the lobby where players can relax between poker games. Excellent information in the lobby on each game table. The gameplay is fairly user friendly, although sometimes there is overkill, there are three different chat functions to select, each providing seven categories, but overall a good options list. 7/10

Support: Currently email only via an imbedded link on the web pages, so you never actually get to see the support email, and have to continually go back there if you have further queries. Overall responses are quite slow, but usually answered fairly accurately when the response comes. 3/10

Banking: Pokerroom accept all the major payment methods, including Visa Delta for UK players. Cash-outs are pretty fast, usually within 24hours. 8/10

Bonuses: Pokerroom have a standard $100 max welcome bonus, clearing this is fairly slow, and done on a points per raked hands basis rather than a simple raked hands criteria. Tracking where you are is fairly easy on th “your account” page however. Pokerroom do not offer many reloads, but are usually pretty generous when they do. 6/10

Game Availability: Pokerroom have a fairly large European player base as the software is parent company is Swedish. You will therefore find a decent number of players all day in the UK, and good game selection in the evening. 8/10

Game Toughness: Pokerroom has a fairly small regular client base, making the standard reasonably strong, but still beatable, and with new skins now joining the network, it is certainly loosening up on here. 6/10

Total 38/60 (Print this article)
